Importance of Second Opinion before Knee Replacement

KNEE JOINT REPLACEMENT???
81 year old came in today with 6 weeks of mild-moderate knee pain after hiking. He’s had no treatment (oral medication, bracing, physical therapy, steroid or gel injections, regenerative treatments). Local orthopedic surgeon scheduled him for a knee replacement surgery when he has only mild-moderate arthritis by X-ray! WHY??? Joint replacement is major surgery and doesn’t always go well. It is not indicated for mild or moderate arthritis.
Are you looking for non-surgical treatment options for your orthopedic issues?? Want a second opinion before having surgery?? Come see me.
