Orthopedic case of the week – February 22, 2023

47 year old female with 6 month progressive swelling and pain between her 1st and 2nd toes. Xray shows notable arthritis in the big toe joint. Ultrasound shows large cyst between the toes. With ultrasound guidance, cyst was easily drained. Her symptoms improved immediately. Unfortunately, the cyst can come back and may require more treatment.
