What happened to his left knee??

75 year old presented with multi year history of worsening left knee pain. History of scope surgery for lateral meniscus tear at the age of 51. He now has severe arthritis in the left lateral knee. Scope surgery to remove torn meniscus increases arthritis!

A recent journal article looked at this issue and concludes: Scope surgery to remove meniscus “results in a faster rate of joint space narrowing compared with knees undergoing nonsurgical management of meniscal tears.”

Looking for alternatives to surgery? Come see what Regenerative Orthopedics can do for you! As an expert in the field, I have been performing regenerative orthopedic treatments since 2007.
