PRP for Tennis Elbow

Regenerative orthopedic case of the week:
Tennis elbow with video of tear.JD is a 39-year-old former professional basketball player. He complains of right lateral elbow pain symptoms for the past year. Gradually progressive symptoms with grasping, lifting, twisting and shooting the basketball. Ultrasound imaging reveals notable tendinitis of the tennis elbow tendon. Six weeks of physical therapy provided overall minimal benefit. He decided to proceed with PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatment yesterday. As I was injecting numbing medicine into the tendon, a notable tear was visualized. This is commonly the case when treating Tennis elbow with PRP. Frequently , the tear is not visible until placed under injection pressure. I expect his tennis elbow symptoms to resolve completely with the PRP treatment.
In the video, the bright white needle enters from the upper right side. The bright needle tip is in the middle of the screen. As I inject numbing medication, the dark tendon tear gaps open.
Come see what Regenerative orthopedics can do for you!
