Regenerative Orthopedic case of the week – July 26, 2022

74 year old female with right > left hip pain. I treated her right hip arthritis in 2017 with PRP (platelet rich plasma). She had been pain free after PRP in 2017 until 4 months ago. She presented 2 months ago with 4/10 pain in the right hip and 3/10 pain in the left. She requested repeat PRP treatment which was performed to both hips 6 weeks ago. Today, her pain in both hips is completely gone, 0/10 pain.
X-ray shows notable right hip arthritis with joint space loss (red) and bone spurs (yellow). Joint space is preserved in the left hip (green).
