Can Stem Cell Therapy Help You Avoid Surgery?
The best physicians agree that patients should explore non-surgical options first before pursuing surgery. New advances in medical technology and health sciences now allow for additional non-surgical options for those struggling with painful arthritis, ligament tears and joint damage. This new field of orthopedics is called Regenerative Orthopedics and Stem Cell Therapy.
Stem Cell Therapy enables a person to amplify their own body’s ability to heal itself by utilizing certain cells that are already in that persons body, specifically in their fat. While this may sound implausible, the results are very real. According to published research, Regenerative Orthopedics — specifically Stem Cell Therapy — for knee arthritis results in 58-68% improvement in pain and 67-83% improvement in function one to two years after treatment.
With all of the misleading information in the news and online about “Stem Cell” treatments, it is important to understand the science behind these treatments. “Stem Cell” procedures using amniotic, placental or umbilical tissues are not “Stem Cell” procedures as they contain NO LIVE CELLS! In our center, we start by using liposuction to harvest fat from the patient’s own belly region. This fat tissue is one of the richest sources of stem cells, with 500 to 1000 times more concentration of stem cells than bone marrow.

If you’ve been struggling with joint pain, Stem Cell Therapy may be the solution. Not all conditions will benefit from Stem Cell Therapy, so complete the “Are You a Candidate” form to find out if you are a candidate. Dr. Meyers and his team will follow up with you to determine the best treatment process for you.

“I had been struggling with debilitating foot and ankle pain for nearly a year. A previous physician wanted to do surgery. I came to Dr. Meyers and he and his team were able to treat my injuries conservatively. He listens and works to find the root cause instead of just treating the symptoms. I am now pain free and back to my normal activities.”

“Dr. Meyers is a wonderful doctor. He’s personable, easy to understand, and truly concerned about the patient’s concerns.”

“Had a wonderful experience. Knees feel brand new without surgery.”

“Dr Meyers did stem cell injection in my right shoulder that had a small rotator cuff tear. The procedure went very well and recovery from that was short and mostly pain free. After 4 weeks of recovery, I started PT to the shoulder which was very well handled by David, giving me back full range of motion with no pain.”

“I felt that Dr Meyer was very personable and charming. He was very knowledgeable about his field of study. And he set a plan of action for my treatment. He was honest about results and seemed to care about my health.”

“Doctor Meyers explained the process step by step. He has an excellent bed side manner. I will recommend him to others.”

“Dr. Meyers respected my 90 year old mom. She spoke directly to her, and and gave her the respect that she was able to understand. Very much appreciated this kind of treatment.”

“Dr. Meyers took time to answer all our questions and concerns. We didn’t feel rushed and would highly recommend.”

My Practice Philosophy
When I meet a new patient who is curious about how I practice Non-Operative Orthopedics, I tell them that in everything I do, from the first visit through follow up, I will treat them how I would want to be treated myself. As a former competitive athlete and an active adventure seeker today, I know first hand how much life can change with an injury or degenerative issue. My goal is to help your body recover from your injury, avoid re-injury and get you back into the game of life as soon as possible.
