In a recent commentary published in The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery, the authors analyzed the results of multiple studies that conclude PRP — specifically high platelet count PRP — may be the preferred non-surgical choice for the treatment of knee arthritis.

The authors refer to a meta-analysis that “affirmed superiority of PRP over the other alternatives at 3-, 6- and 12-months follow-up providing compelling arguments to use PRP as the preferred treatment option.” (source)
